John Bentley was born and raised in Northern Virginia.  John spent several years working as an IT recruiter prior to joining Metheny Insurance Professionals.  John manages our commercial insurance department and is here to customize business insurance packages to meet your needs.  In his spare time John enjoys boating, fishing and spending time with his family.

Jake spent six years as a professional educator before bringing his passion for helping others to Metheny Insurance as an associate agent. With a background in high school coaching, he’s committed to guiding clients toward the right protection for their families and assets—always with affordability in mind. Jake specializes in personal lines insurance and is readily available to help you find the ideal coverage for your home, vehicle, and more.

Originally from the Chesapeake Bay area, I bring a passion for communication and teamwork to everything I do. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Communication while playing lacrosse at Bridgewater College, I spent three years bartending in Annapolis, MD, where I also helped organize one of the city’s first vintage markets. I take pride in my ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and bring energy and dedication to every team I’m part of.
