In 1983, Pastor Charlie Grant began the noble deed of taking homeless people into his own home. His work led to the creation of our county’s very first organized homeless shelter- the direct predecessor of Good Shepherd of Northern Virginia.

Now it’s 2023, and we here at Metheny Insurance Professionals are dedicated to continuing the good work that Pastor Green began 40 years ago. This is why, for this quarter’s community cause cycle, we are giving our support to Good Shepherd of Northern Virginia.

This fantastic organization is so much more than a homeless shelter: it is a goal-oriented, intensive case management approach to self-sufficiency available to all its housing residents. Furthermore, Good Shepherd provides outreach programs to assist families undergoing food insecurity through its food pantry, counseling & case management services, and thrift store voucher program.

Besides being a wonderful charity, Good Shepherd of Northern Virginia is a staple of our Loudon County community.
